WST is a non-profit company devoted to creating and developing original Canadian and International contemporary plays and musicals, produced in an intimate setting. Led by the creative vision of Kayla Gordon and Brenda Gorlick, WST's goals are to entertain and to educate, combining a mix of traditional and experimental theatre, where creativity can flourish and artists of different disciplines can collaborate.WST provides community service and outreach to various organizations as well as offers mentorship and educational programs in order to nurture new Manitoba talent.
Theatre by the River was formed in 2005 with a mandate to produce artistically provocative, socially relevant and financially accessible theatre. Moving Target Theatre Company
Moving Target is a Winnipeg-based company with a reputation for innovative, original theatre, founded by playwright and Artistic Producer Daniel Thau-Eleff.
We call our plays “personal-political”, meaning they deal with themes of human rights, peace and social justice through individual struggles, mixing documentary elements into fiction.
Past productions include Good People Bad Things, King's Park, Remember the Night*, Three Ring Circus: Israel, the Palestinians and My Jewish Identity*.

The Circus of Objects is a mixture of object/puppet theatre, prop comedy, successful and unsuccessful magic, talking clown, storytelling and plenty of DADA DUMB in the spirit of Pataphysics.
It performs once a month at X-Cues, a sports bar and event centre in Winnipeg Canada. It does not receive grants or corporate donations. It relies on the kindness of strangers.
The Talentless lumps are an all-female troupe of performers that experiment in the styles of Bouffon, Clowning, and Physical Comedy. The troupe was formed in 2012 after training together and performing at “Girls Girls Girls”. Since then, the troupe has created two original Master playwright shows, “F#ckOff Chekhov” and “Stuffed Red Peppers: Extra Spicy”. The Lumps have also performed in countless cabarets and fundraisers including: Joseph Commons, Girls Girls Girls, Young Lungs Dance Exchange fundraiser, Femfest, and some random street events. WRP is a project based arts organization in Winnipeg, whose mandate is to serve the community by providing opportunities for the creation of new works and development of artistic skills. WRP does this by (1) creating original works of music, theatre and multimedia; (2) collaborating with artists and groups on the development of new works; and (3) providing training and mentorship for Winnipeg Artists.
Theatre Incarnate is Winnipeg based independent theatre company that produces original works and published plays. As a company their focus is on experimenting with theatrical style and presentation, they have produced a large range of works since 1996 from Tom Stoppard’s “Arcadia” to original creation and devised pieces like “Guernica” and “Men Seldom”. Theatre Incarnate has also offered workshops in such things as Bouffon and clowning and has hosted community performers in their Soirees. They have a year round rehearsal space Studio 320 in the exchange at 70 Albert, which they also rent out to other local independent performers. Under the artistic direction of founder Andraea Sartison One Trunk is a non-profit company dedicated to producing new work that is interdisciplinary and collaboratively created. One Trunk Theatre was formed in 2009. It has since presented seven new plays, and some smaller collaboration in Winnipeg and across Western Canada. Through our process and plays we seek to find the root of where all art forms begin and branch out to create new, innovative performances. Each production integrates a new combination of media into our theatre process be it ballet, rap, hip hop dance, silent movie or graphic novel.

Dry Cold Productions, Where Music Meets Theatre. Founded in 2001, Dry Cold is committed to bringing the premieres of innovative & stimulating musical theatre classics to Winnipeg audiences. Our 19 shows include sold out productions of Urinetown, The Addams Family, Sweeney Todd, Little Women and our 2019 hit Kiss of the Spider Woman. Dry Cold was created as a love letter to the talented and diverse artists in our Winnipeg Theatre Community and we are thrilled to feature established and emerging Manitoba music and theatre artists both on and off the stage. Our successful Apprentice Programme has been instrumental in launching the careers of Actors, Singers, Directors, Music Directors and Stage Managers with former apprentices working not only in Winnipeg but also on National and International Opera and Theatre stages – from the Shaw Festival to Broadway to National and International Tours.
